Mission:
- To provide opportunity to Diploma students who are capable of playing pivotal role in wide aspects of modern Computer Engineering.
- To make the students understand basic concepts underlie in Computer Engineering and able to apply them creatively in different fields of Engineering
- To train the student sensitive to the Environment, safety and economic context
- To produce technically skilled students through intensive training in Computer Engineering tools and application and to prepare the students for professional career and further research.

The General Section of Government Polytechnic, Dharmavaram, is an integral part of this institution since its inception. It is strongly committed to providing a challenging education in core subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English. Its motto is to impart knowledge not only to face their course examinations but also stimulate them to pursue real knowledge besides fostering their Communication and Soft Skills in English. The Department strives rigorously towards shaping the students competent enough to get a job and to acquire all the essential employability skills. The Department is well established with Chemistry, Physics, and English Language Laboratories that make the learners acquire presentation skills besides gaining practical knowledge through various experiments.
